About the ARTIST

Thank you for being here and for supporting My Whimsy World

— where imagination comes to life and whimsy lives in every detail.

Hello! I'm Tamara and I am so excited to share this magical journey with you! I am a disabled artist, cancer survivor, wife, and proud rescue dog mama. Creativity has always been a part of my life—whether through scrapbooking, candle making, jewelry design, or crafting heartfelt cards. But art took on a much deeper meaning when I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer.

During that incredibly challenging time, creating became more than just a hobby—it became a lifeline. It helped me heal, both physically and emotionally, and gave me a renewed sense of purpose when I needed it most.

What began as simple physical therapy with putty and then clay soon blossomed into something magical: a way to bring my imagination to life, one sculpture at a time. My love for nature and all things whimsical is the heartbeat of every piece I create. Petal by petal, leaf by leaf, truly handmade—each sculpture is brought to life with care, imagination, and intention.

Those tiny details are more than just decorative—they’re essential to my healing. Each one helps restore the dexterity in my hands, turning the creative process into a vital part of my physical and emotional recovery.

These creations are more than decorations; they are small testaments to resilience, creativity, and joy.

From fairy doors and forest creatures to mushrooms, unicorn sanctuaries, and beyond, every piece is designed to bring a little enchantment into your space—indoors or out.

My Whimsy World—where nature, magic, and resilience meet.

Behind the Whimsy
–Visit In the Workshop

Art has become a powerful part of my healing—physically, emotionally, and creatively. As my hands shape clay, they also shape stories, memories, and moments of magic.

I’m creating a blog to share more of that journey with you: the inspirations behind my work, the ups and downs of creating with disability, and the joy I find in everyday whimsy. It’s a space for reflection, creativity, and connection.

In a world that often rushes and roars, there are still quiet places where imagination can breathe—places where wonder isn’t lost, just waiting. Whimsy Sanctuaries are born in those places.

Tucked in the crook of a tree branch, nestled within a blooming rose bush, or perched quietly on a shelf, these sculpted sanctuaries are more than tiny dwellings—they are havens. They are soft, sacred spaces for fairies, forest spirits, and all the gentle unseen things that live between moss and moonlight.

Each sanctuary is lovingly shaped by hand, inspired by the natural stillness I find among the trees. Trees have always felt like guardians to me—silent storytellers, their branches reaching like open hands to the sky. In their shade, time slows. The wind becomes a whisper. And somewhere in that hush, the idea for Whimsy Sanctuaries began to bloom.

These small sculptures are infused with more than detail—they’re made of intention. A place for peace to settle. A place where love is safe. A pause in the chaos. A reminder that even the tiniest corners can hold great magic.

In my studio, surrounded by clay and glass and the quiet hum of creation, I imagine each sanctuary offering a moment of calm to whoever discovers it. A pocket of serenity. A breath. A belief that the world still holds space for wonder.
