A Castle in the Clouds: The Art of Imagination

"There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds."

– G.K. Chesterton

What you’ll find here isn’t bound by blueprints or tradition. This is a gallery built of dreams and shaped by hands that believe in magic. Each sculpture is a little world unto itself—a fairy dwelling nestled in a flowerpot, a Monster Door with an eye that sees more than you think, or a stepping stone to somewhere mysterious.

I started sculpting as a form of physical therapy, but clay quickly became something more: a doorway to possibility. Here, in My Whimsy World, there are no rules. Just instinct, wonder, and the quiet joy of making.

As you wander through these photos, I invite you to look not just at what each piece is, but to imagine what it could be. Who might live behind that door? What stories are waiting inside that tiny toadstool home?

There may be no rules for castles in the clouds—but in this space, that’s exactly what gives us room to dream.

Wandering Through Whimsy

The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.

– Neil Gaiman

Welcome to a little corner of the forest where imagination takes root and grows wild.

Each piece here began with a spark: a texture, a whisper of moss, a twist of bark, or the glint of magic in an unseen world. As a disabled artist, my journey with sculpture is not just creative but deeply personal. Every Whimsy I craft is part of my healing—an offering of joy, story, and wonder.

Whether it's a tiny fairy door tucked beneath a mushroom or a Monster Door guarding a secret realm, these sculptures invite you to slow down, lean in, and look closer. What might seem like just clay is often a doorway into something more—something playful, mysterious, or even profound.

I hope as you explore this gallery, you find yourself smiling, imagining, and maybe even remembering that the world is still full of wonder—you just have to know where to look.

Behind the Whimsy–Visit In the Workshop

Art has become a powerful part of my healing—physically, emotionally, and creatively. As my hands shape clay, they also shape stories, memories, and moments of magic.

From the tools and techniques I use, to the modifications I’ve made as a disabled artist, In the Workshop is where I open the studio door and invite you into my process. I’ll also be sharing the stories behind the art—the meaning, the magic, and the reasons why I make what I make.
